Hello, First Look Friends!
Kids Rock! But, you knew that, didn’t you? You’re surrounded by rockin’ kids all the time! We’re excited to celebrate kids with a rocking good time this summer.
Throughout the summer, our preschoolers will be introduced to people in the Bible who did amazing things while they were still kids. They rocked because they did what God wanted them to do, and our preschoolers can do that too.
In July, Daniel, Miriam, Josiah, a young boy and his lunch and Timothy will continue to help our preschoolers learn that they can do what God wants them to do.
All summer long we’re going to be making fun instruments while we celebrate that God made each one of us to do good works. And, we’ve included a challenge for you to send home for families.
In the Small Group tab of the download matrix, you’ll find the “Do Good Challenge.” Be sure to make plenty of copies so you can send it home at the beginning of both June and July and have extras for families who need more copies. We’re encouraging our parents to recognize when their preschooler has dome something “good” and have them record it on this special chart. We’ve also included some extra social media images for you to use to encourage preschoolers and parents to keep “doing good.”
Oh, and of course, there are tattoos. Summertime and rockin’ calls for tattoos, and we’ve got some great ones in The Orange Store.
Jaden, Harper, and Madi are in our clubhouse this month on the Wonder! DVD. They’re starting a band called “Kids Rock.” It’s kinda awesome. The DVD is available at The Orange Store, and you can even sign up for a monthly subscription. Use this DVD to supplement a live Storyteller and/or Host for the Make It True section of the curriculum.
July’s Preview Video will be on the First Look website. You can download the video and script from the matrix—it is located in the Monthly Visuals tab. If you’d like to embed the video into your church blog, we have it available on Vimeo. Feel free to share the vision with everyone!
Our team will be praying for you to have moments filled with wonder as you give preschoolers a “first look” at the God who loves them, made them, and wants to be their friend forever.
