Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, October 7, 2018. This is considered week one of the October curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today we learned that God is always with us through the exciting story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Choose a sunny day and go outisde. Point out your child’s shadow to him/her. Have fun watching your shadows go with you wherever you go. Talk about how when the sun goes away our shadows go away too, but not God. God is always with us.
Tuesday: It’s so easy to judge each other. But what if instead, what every parent needs to give to every other parent is really simple? What if the thing we need the most is grace? http://theparentcue.org/the-thing-we-need-to-give-to-other-parents/
Wednesday: When you go into your child’s room this month, say, “Good morning, sweet [boy/girl]! Time to wake up for an amazing day! I know it will be amazing, because no matter what happens, God’s got it!”
Thursday: As a parent of a little one, you know the toll parenting takes. This week, find another parent who needs a little bit of encouragement, and let them know what a great job they are doing.
Friday: Your child is learning the song “Trustin’-N-U.” Download it so you can sing along at home! http://bit.ly/HHHooray
Saturday: Cuddle up with your child this month and pray, “Dear God, help us remember that You are always with us. No matter what is happening, You are with us, and You’ve got it. You are amazing, God, and we love You very much. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
