Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
When a kid sees a need, sometimes they wonder if they’re old enough or even if they’re allowed to help thinking it’s really an adult’s job. This week, you have the opportunity to talk to kids about looking for the needs around them that they CAN do something about. Because there are needs everywhere. There are kids who need help in their classrooms and on their ball teams and right down the street. As you prepare for this week, ask God to help you notice the needs of others and then share what happened with your few. Take initiative and remember: [Bottom Line] Don’t wait for someone else to help people in need.
