Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
Doing what you say you’ll do is hard! For kids, it’s much easier to make a promise than it is to keep it. But honor means letting others see how valuable they are. And keeping the promises we make shows others that they are important to us. Let’s encourage our kids to think first, before they make a promise, so they can follow through and others can trust them to do what they say they’ll do. Because you honor others by keeping your promises.
