Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
All month long, we’ve been talking about knowledge–learning something new so you can be better at whatever you do. The Bible is the best place to look for knowledge because God knows everything about everything. As you sit in circles today with your kids, encourage them to look at God’s word to find the answers they need. If something they read sounds confusing, encourage them to use the footnotes in their Bibles for further help, to discuss their questions with you and the rest of their small group and most importantly, to pray and ask God to help them understand what they’ve read. When you don’t know what God says, ask.
