Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
Eating candy or cookies till you’re sick. Playing outside for hours without sunscreen. Spending hours in front of your tablet or video game. As adults, we understand how too much of a good thing can be a very bad thing. Part of teaching self-control is helping our kids [Bottom Line] know when to stop. The important thing to remember is that self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. We need God’s help, His POWER to help us know when to stop.
