We know you’re probably more focused on cranking the A/C than putting up light strands and icicles right now. But when it comes to this year’s Christmas giving project, we’re not asking you to deck the halls.
We want you to grab a hard hat!
This year, Orange is partnering with Compassion International for a project we’re calling BRICK BY BRICK.
You probably already know Compassion as a trusted organization that works to rescue kids from poverty through child sponsorships. Compassion does this by partnering with local churches to create centers that address the specific needs of these kids and the broader needs of families and communities. While Compassion provides the resources, local church staff and educators serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to kids and families.
That’s why we’re joining with Compassion to raise support that will launch two brand-new Compassion centers in Kenya’s Rift Valley region. The funds we provide will help two existing churches build, repair, and supply new spaces and programs to facilitate the physical, mental, and spiritual health of more than 400 kids.
That’s 400 children who will celebrate Christmas this year with full bellies, good health care… and the knowledge that they are deeply loved by God – and by His people.
Because the resources provided to one kid touch the lives of 8-10 people in their families and communities, we will be reaching thousands through these two centers.
Every dollar, every “brick” your ministry contributes will build up the future of a child.
With these bricks, we’re laying a foundation for each kid.
With these bricks, we’re constructing hope.
Whether you build with pennies from your preschoolers or hundreds of dollars from families banding together – your participation matters.
In fact, Compassion believes in the work of these centers so deeply they will be inviting leaders from two participating churches to travel with Orange and Compassion staff to visit a center this spring, all expenses covered.
Everything you need to integrate Brick by Brick into your Sunday morning, Family Experience, or social media will be available on the download matrix October 1.
So pick up a hammer.
Put on your hard hat.
